Device Technologies, a leading provider of innovative medical solutions across Australia, New Zealand and Asia, has announced its official commitment to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.
This milestone places Device Technologies among a select handful of Australian healthcare industry leaders recognised for advancing responsible business practices on a global stage.
The UNGC is a voluntary initiative that encourages businesses to adopt sustainability principles across human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption, while also taking action to advance broader societal goals.
By joining, Device Technologies has signalled its long-term commitment to aligning business strategy with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a move that will help shape the future of healthcare innovation in the region.
In addition to its UNGC membership, Device Technologies has also achieved a 5-Star Greenstar certification for its state-of-the-art National Distribution Centre in Marsden Park, NSW. The certification from the Green Building Council of Australia recognises best-in-class performance in sustainable building design, construction, and operation.
Meredith Archibald, Director of Operations for Device Technologies, said: “This is an extraordinary step for Device Technologies. By joining the UN Global Compact, we are holding ourselves accountable to the highest international standards of corporate responsibility. For us, this goes beyond just ticking compliance boxes, it’s about playing our part in creating a healthier, more sustainable future for heathcare and the planet.
“Our now 5-Star Greenstar certified Marsden Park facility is just one way we’re bringing this to life. Whether it’s through responsible supply chain choices or reducing our environmental footprint, we want to show that sustainability and healthcare innovation can, and should, work hand in hand.”
With this announcement, Device Technologies is proud to stand among a small but growing group of Australian companies leading the way in global sustainability. Achieving both UNGC participation and Green Star certification highlights the team’s commitment to making a real difference, driving positive environmental and social impact while continuing to grow the business.
