The certification highlights MDI’s commitment to Australian manufacturing, supporting local jobs and strengthening local capability in the healthcare sector. It also allows MDI to carry the iconic green and gold Australian Made logo, giving customers clear assurance that its certified products are genuinely made in Australia.

The certification includes MDI’s Flush Mount Medical Services Panel (MSP), Surface Mount MSP, Screwless Sub Mount MSP, H Series Custom-Built Pendant, S Series Custom-Built Pendant, HDP Series Ceiling Mounted Patient Lift System, and Pendant Brackets and accessories.

This milestone reinforces the strength of MDI’s local manufacturing model, combining quality assurance processes with the design and delivery of innovative, custom pendant solutions for healthcare facilities across Australia and New Zealand.

The Australian Made logo can only be used on products that meet stringent criteria, including that all or the vast majority of the product is made in Australia. For customers, the certification provides assurance of product origin, safety, and compliance with Australian regulations.

Driven by lessons from global supply chain disruptions and a focus on reducing reliance on overseas suppliers, The Australian Government strongly supports and promotes onshore medical manufacturing, aiming to secure local capabilities and build resilience in the health sector.
